I have to thank Carol for her post about Grace [on Facebook]. So...Thank you!! She could not have done it without your help and guidance. I have to share my story about how we got to this point. Grace had been struggling with reading since second grade. My husband and I tried everything we could think of with her - sitting and looking over her shoulder with every piece of homework that was brought home thinking if we kept explaining it to her over and over it would sink in, trying to get her to read more, sometimes just giving her the answer then explaining why it was the answer. Math was a struggle because it is taught using word problems. Reading instructions at the top of a work sheet was difficult. Bringing her to Carol was the best thing we ever did. She tested her and knew exactly how to help her. Grace now loves reading, does it without us begging her to do it, gets right to her homework after school, even helps others in her class. Carol has also worked with her on test taking skills, test taking vocabulary, how to take notes, and research project skills. We will keep coming back as long as you will have us!

My son was diagnosed with A.D.H.D. He couldn't read nor recognize phonetic sound's. He struggled tremendously in school and was retained .He started going to Dr. Carol in August of 2012. Amazingly, after one month he learned how to read. Dr. Carol is patient and kind.She provides a positive learning environment. She has also advocated on my son's behalf at his I.E.P 's. My son is thrilled that he can read!
